Wow, bid for Onmyou Taisenki Seiryuu Zero Drive went up to $45, doubt anyone else is going to bid...? XD;

I made a big pot of soup concoction with tofu, small bits of pork (mostly leftovers from another dish), white lettuce, some kind of frozen Korean vegetable wonton, and a few eggs, with some touches of hotpot sauce and chicken broth... and it tasted like heavennnnnnn XD; Soooo good. Lasted me about three meals hahaha.

I'm very saddened about the cancelling for the Digimon Memorial book and what has me concerned is that HMV and 1999 don't seem to have done anything about it yet. Sigh, what a bad end to Digimon's 10th anniversary .______.; Total flop. I really hope they haven't given up!! I DEMAND TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS. Something tells me CDJapan just lost patience and decided to cancel orders because they didn't want to set a delay date again, which ticks me off because I didn't get to lock the better yen rate for it. I paid instantly for it back in June when the yen rate was still above 100, and now they've refunded it... *hits publishers* They can't just put out adverts like this then not follow through 8|

In the meanwhile, I've got a different order coming from CDJapan that I hope arrives sometime next week. And an AmazonJapan order shipping out Nov 4 to my lovelylovelylovelyproxy Lea you are such a lifesaver <3 Gah, EMS shipping from Japan is so ridiculous these days. One of the readings for my MPA program covered why the USPS is made out of awesomesticks in both price and speed, and it's mostly thanks to profits from stamps and stamp collectors. Now if only healthcare in the country were that awesome too. :|

Lina does this whenever we're eating dinner and preparing meals pretty much now. And if I ever leave my seat, she'll take over. I think ever since we got those couple bags of cat treats, she's been trying to find more and more ways to get our attention and gain cute points.

I got up early in the morning to go to the bathroom, and afterwards Lina came onto the bed and started nibbling on my head OMNOMNOM =w=;~ But I like that feeling, so she just kind of attached herself to my scalp and we both fell asleep afterwards. It was all sorts of special.

Ah hmm looks like I'll be getting a new Intuo3 sometime because I'm getting more involved in the R&D for the company and making designs for dog toys. The Cintiq 12WX LOOKS SO SEXY... but I think that'd be asking too much and maybe I could afford it on my own in the... far future. but ahii... excellent birthday present?! I don't think I'll have it by my birthday, but eh~ I haven't told the relatives here about it though.

The visiting companies are asking for new dog toy designs of certain types, so I've been making those. Like one of them wants a series of rubber duckies with personified occupations, like scuba-diving ducks and whatnot. Definitely a very old idea, but I'd like to make some fresher designs somehow.

My first set of designs are getting painted in their latex form. I hope they fixed up Rumbel's because the sculptor had made misplaced some of the shape a little. You can really tell his art is Chinese-influenced and stuff and it doesn't mix well with my Japanese designs >_>; Maybe the sculptor was looking more at the top left pic, which I don't like as much since the proportions of the face are kind off and that was just a practice run. The center piece is supposed to be the real one. But yeah, I hope they fixed it up. And instead of rope, the tail ended up getting to be a miniature molded part of the sculpture, except I forgot to check if the lion ruffle at the end was there >_>; I might have to make them remodel that. It's difficult trying to communicate to the sculptor in a language I absolutely suck at. orz

So the other night, we went to Royal Marina Plaza, a 5-star hotel in China, to eat at the hotel's dinner buffet with the Dutch company who was visiting us for business matters. It looks prettier at night. Their most expensive rooms are $500/night.

And of course the meal was the best since I've gotten into the country D8
THE ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT SALMON SASHIMI WAS SO SOFT AND TASTEH...... I ended up getting two big plates of it (only) because I wanted to sample almost everything else at the place. The first time, the chef gave me 6 of the pieces in the pic. When I came back up he gave me 7 much thicker pieces and I was in Heavennnnn hurrrr purrrr.

I found a proxy that works wonderful speeds with LJ~ and downloads faster than my wireless by itself sometimes ;; But my wireless in general is still really unstable.

Have I ever mentioned I'm in love with the commenting feature on nicovideo? It's kinda like being at a screening at a convention where everyone hollers out all these comments while you're watching stuff~ in Japanese. XD;; Anytime I need a good laugh...

Vegetarian meal for Tzu Chi. After soup, they dished out 4 or so more plates of food and brought out the Papaya milk. Of course, a tiger like me ended up getting hungry a couple hours later no matter how many of those carbs I ate in this meal.

Note to self: Never EVER EVER come in skin-contact with raw Jalapenos. Dad wanted some in the curry today. Some people feel it burn, but with this sensitive skin, I feel it in FLAMESSSSSS. My allergies had been acting up so I had been blowing my nose with tissue too, which was a bad move... OWwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I couldn't do anything but cringe for half an hour during dinnertime because of the pain all over my face. Thank goodness we happen to have yummy icecream bars (the dairy and chill help in wearing it off). T_T

I'll be getting Act III hopefully after a week, and I'm also hoping I got the formatting right this first time~~ And then it should be good to go. It'll be just around $35 for all three including media mail shipping :D

I did a little update on my pictorial doujinshi index. Finally brought them into sub-galleries~ So much tomato............................ I even have extras of a couple because they were part of auctions grouped with ones I was seeking. orz If I get extra time or if someone's particularly interested, I'll see about the other doujinshi, like the HnG and One Piece ones...

I don't expect to have access to a decent scanner when I go to China in mid-September. I guess I could just save all the paper art until December when I come back. I wanted to get back into fic-writing anyway.~ And I should get a new laptop some day, but money... =w=~ It's still on low priority, however. This laptop is still doing fine even after over 4 years. It's just weak and slow. But it's stable. And it has worked hard and can still work. I think I had it named Charizard, but the name doesn't really matter.
